10 more cases of monkeypox in Quebec, bringing tally to 15 in Canada
Ontario: Following reports of 10 more confirmed cases of monkeypox, it took tally to total 15 cases across the Quebec province, Canadian health ministry said.
Last week, Canada’s Global Public Health Intelligence Network (GPHIN) system picked up a signal on the first cases of monkeypox internationally.
The first case was reported last week when authorities confirmed that they were investigating suspected 17 cases.
Health Ministry spokesman Robert Maranda said that Quebec is considering vaccines against the virus and said that he kbows Canadians are concerned but he underscore that the health and safety of all Canadians remain his government’s top priority.
