To discuss limate change, food security: Parliamentary Secretary Oliphant to travel to Egypt and Morocco
Ottawa: To discuss climate change, food security, regional peace and security and human rights, Robert Oliphant, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Foreign Affairs is on a four days visit to Egypt and Morocco from May 8 to 12.
MĂ©lanie Joly, Minister of Foreign Affairs shared this information in a statement and said that during the official trip Oliphant will meet meet with government officials, as well as local and regional partners in Cairo and Egypt while in Marrakesh and Rabat, Morocco, Parliamentary Secretary Oliphant will engage with government officials on trade, climate change and peace and security, as well as commemorate 60 years of strong bilateral relations between Canada and Morocco.
He will also attend a ministerial meeting of the Global Coalition against Daesh, where members will review the Coalition’s progress and discuss the threat posed by Daesh in Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan, as well as in Africa.
