Ripudaman murder case: Gurdwara Council seeks probe into foreign role from govt
Vancouver: The British Columbia Gurdwara Council has written a letter to Canadian Minister of Public Security Marco Medicino expressing apprehension that foreign forces were behind the murder of Sikh leader Ripudaman Singh Malik.
The council demanded that the case be examined from this point of view as well. The letter also cites instances of interference of Indian intelligence agencies in Canada’s internal affairs in recent years and also the decision of the High Court of Canada.
The letter describes as part of the policy of dividing the Punjabi community by foreign agencies accusing them of using a section of the Indian and Canadian media in their own way.
The council said that after the murder of Ripudaman Malik a section of the media put all the emphasis on promoting him as the main conspirator in the Air India plane bombing case.
