Musk takes over Twitter, sacks four executives, including CEO Parag Agarwal
New York: Businessman Elon Musk has become the new owner of Twitter and after taking over the reins of twitter, he has sacked four top officials, including Indian-origin CEO Parag Agarwal and legal affairs officer Vijay Gade.
The media reports said that Musk on Thursday executed a $44 billion deal to buy Twitter.
Elon Musk announced the purchase of Twitter on April 13 this year. He had offered to buy the social media platform for $ 44 billion at a rate of $ 54.2 per share. But then due to spam and fake accounts, he put that deal on hold. After this, on July 8, Musk decided to break the deal. Against this, Twitter had moved the court.
But then in early October, Musk changed his stance and agreed to complete the deal again. Meanwhile, the Delaware court ordered the deal to be completed by October 28. Elon Musk surprised everyone by reaching Twitter’s office a day earlier.
