Millions of people in Canada survive with the support of food banks
Ottawa: According to a report released by Food Bank Canada, there is a significant increase in the number of people using food banks across the country.

The report said that during March, around 1.5 million people took the help of food banks. A 15% increase in the number of people has been recorded this year compared to March last year.
The report looked at data from 4,750 food banks and community organizations. In the report, 5 lakh people are said to be dependent on food banks, out of which one third are children.
Kirstin Beardsley, CEO of Food Bank Canada, says low-income people, including seniors and students, have been hit hardest by inflation.
