Liberal government is waging war against working class: Jagmeet Singh
Ottawa: New Democratic Party (NDP) leader Jagmeet Singh said that Justin Trudeau is waging a war against the working class, but he will not allow this to happen. Taking advantage of his agreement with the Liberal Party, he will protect the working people.
Addressing his caucus on Wednesday, Jagmeet Singh said how much Canadians are struggling in their daily lives today. But Trudeau remains unaware of the kind of struggle canadian families are going through today.
At present, inflation has crossed all limits, grocery prices are skyrocketing and health care is not available to everyone. He said that the limit is that parents are not even finding cold medicine for their children. At the moment, it seems as if the government is at war with the workers.
Singh talked about the traditional values of the party and decided to further strengthen the unions and protect public health care. He said that workers are the backbone of the country and they deserve respect. If you work in this country you should not go hungry.
He also accused Trudeau of allowing some of the country’s premiers to tamper with the Medicare system. This will encourage the provision of health care services at the private level. He also urged the federal government to ban privatisation in the healthcare sector.
The NDP caucus is meeting for three days before parliament proceedings begin later this month. After this 30-minute speech of Jagmeet Singh, he was given a standing ovation by the NDP Caucus.
