Pakistan: Sikh medicine practitioner shot dead in Peshawar
New Delhi: In yet another attack on minority community in Pakistan, a well-known Sikh ‘hakeem’ (Unani medicine practitioner) was shot dead by unidentified miscreants inside his clinic in Pakistan’s restive northwestern city of Peshawar on Thursday night.
Deceased was identified as ‘Hakeem’ Sardar Satnam Singh (Khalsa), 45.
According to the police, accused barged into his cabin and opened fire at him and died on the spot. Singh was practising Unani medicine, police said.
Accused managed to escape from the crime scene. Following information of the crime, local police team rushed to the site and encircled the area to nab the culprits. The reason behind the murder was not ascertained yet and investigation is underway, police said.
