Indian Govt opens Kartarpur corridor for pilgrims to visit Pakistan
New Delhi: Centre government on Tuesday opened the Kartarpur corridor, allowing pilgrims to visit the Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur in Pakistan.
The Kartarpur corridor was closed in March 2020, just four months after it had been opened with much fanfare.
Home Minister Amit Shah announced it on his Twitter account and said, “In a major decision, that will benefit large numbers of Sikh pilgrims, PM @Narendramodi govt has decided to re-open the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor from tomorrow, Nov 17.
This decision reflects the immense reverence of Modi govt towards Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji and our Sikh community.”
The Guru Purab of Guru Nanak Dev ji is on October 19.
