Canada-wide arrest warrant against youth for killing 21-year-old Punjabi girl in Brampton

Brampton: Peel Regional Police have issued warrants across Canada against the man who shot dead a woman at a gas station in Mississauga after full planning.

Pawanpreet Kaur, a 21-year-old resident of Brampton, was shot dead by an unidentified person at the Petro Canada gas station on Creditview and Britannia Roads around 10:40 p.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2022, police said.

Investigators confirmed that Pawanpreet Kaur was working at the gas station at the time and the police said she was killed with a deliberate plan.

On Monday, the Peel Homicide Bureau identified the man who carried out the murder as 30-year-old Dharam Singh Dhaliwal, wanted for first-degree murder. Dhaliwal went missing intentionally in September 2022, but investigation revealed that all this was done to plan pawanpreet’s murder, police said.

According to the details released about Dharam Singh, his height is said to be five feet eight inches and he weighs 170 pounds. He also has a tattoo on his left hand.

Dhaliwal, who also has links in Ontario, New Brunswick, Winnipeg and Vancouver, could be armed and dangerous, police said. His family members have also been accused of helping him and have been charged. Peel police said two family members of Dhaliwal were charged in connection with Pawan’s murder.

Pritpal Dhaliwal, 25, and Amarjit Dhaliwal, 50, were arrested from Moncton, New Brunswick, officials said.

The police made it clear that those who helped and sheltered Dharam Dhaliwal would also be charged. At the same time, the police have also asked the him to surrender.
