Four Indian-origin persons among 8-year-old girl abducted in California
California: Four People of Indian Origin have been reportedly kidnapped in California, USA. An eight-month-old girl was among those abducted.
The incident took place on Monday in Merced County, California. Those abducted include Jasdeep Singh, 36, his wife Jasleen Kaur, 27, their eight-month-old daughter Aruhi Dhari and a 39-year-old man, Amandeep Singh, a statement from the county sheriff’s office said.
Police say the four were abducted from South Highway 59. Police said the suspected kidnapper is dangerous and armed. According to media reports, the site of the alleged abduction is a road near restaurants.
“We are asking the public not to approach the suspect or the victim,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement on Monday.
Officials said people should not go to suspects or victims and call 911 if they appear.
In 2019, Indian-origin technician Tushar Atre was found dead in his girlfriend’s car. He was abducted from his home in California by the owner of a digital marketing company in the US. His body was recovered a few hours after the abduction.
