Ottawa: Efforts have been intensified by the US and Germany to send battle tanks to Ukraine. But Canada is still not saying whether the federal government has any plans to take such a step.

Yet Foreign Affairs Minister Melanie Joly did not say whether such a decision was being taken by Canada. Speaking to reporters in French, Joly said all she can say at the moment is that she will fully cooperate with her partners.
It is worth mentioning here that the Canadian Army has 112 Leopard 2 tanks. But some analysts say Canada will have to look at its training and operational requirements before making such a decision.
Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland also could not say how Canada would move forward on the issue. But he did say that Canada is at the forefront of ukraine’s most funded times in this hour of conflict.
