Manchester United star arrested by police, charged with rape and intimidation
London: Manchester United star Mason Greenwood has been arrested on charges of “rape, assault and threatening to kill”. He has been arrested for violating bail conditions.
According to the report, the 21-year-old England international is accused of assault, rape and death threats. The inquiry is currently underway.
Following the scandal, Greenwood was suspended by Manchester United until further notice, while in February he was removed by sportswear giant Nike. The forward began his career at the Red Devils Academy and played once for the England national team.
Greater Manchester Police said in a statement that they are aware of a 21-year-old man’s allegation of violating bail conditions and have been arrested on Saturday 15 October 2022. The inquiry is currently underway.

Greenwood has not played for United since 22 January 2022, there has been no comment from the club for today’s report and earlier the club said in a statement that Greenwood is a Manchester United player but will not be part of the squad until the legal process is completed.
