Applications of over 2 million people pending for Canadian visa

Ottawa: According to new report, around 2 million people across the world are waiting for an outcome of their Canadian visa applications.

According to the Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) datat, it has a backlog of 1.8 million, as of February 1 and applications of future citizens, permanent residents, international students, temporary workers, and visitors waiting for their application status.

Meanwhile, there are over 29, 000 PR applications pending since October while student visa and family visa files are piling up due to Covid-19 restrictions.
