Over 900,000 homes in southern Canada lose power in high winds
Ottawa: Due to extensive storm hit the Ontario and Quebec provinces yesterday, power supply got affected in over 900,000 homes in southern Canada.
As many as seven people were also lost their lives in this fierce storm by falling trees and a woman died when her boat capsized in the Ottawa River.
According to the information by Environment Canada, the wing gust was recorded at 82 mph (132km/h) during the storm.
Meanwhile, power remained affected at 550,000 homes in Quebec and about 400,000 suffered from the storm in Ontario.
