Police seize $8.9 million worth of cocaine York Region drug bust, two arrested
Ontario: York Regional Police (YRP) has arrested two Residents of Richmond Hill in connection with drug smuggling and seized cocaine worth $ 9 million from them.
The investigation was launched in September under the name of “Project Aries.” Police had received a tip-off that a large quantity of cocaine was in possession of the two suspects.
In January, a search warrant was issued and a house in Richmond Hill was checked. It was from here that two suspects were arrested.
Police recovered $8.9 million worth of cocaine and $260,000 in cash. Along with this, luxury clothes worth $ 100,000 were also found.
