Prison authorities seized drugs, contraband at Joyceville Institution
Ontario: A package containing contraband was seized at Joyceville Institution, a multi-level security institution here by the prison authorities.
The seized items included approximately 20 grams of tobacco and 29 grams of shatter (cannabis concentrate).
The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) uses a number of tools to prevent drugs from entering its institutions. These tools include ion scanners and detector dogs to search buildings, personal property, inmates, and visitors, prison authorities said adding that a department inquiry has also been ordered.
