Ottawa: As only six days left in the federal elections, Conservative Leader Erin O’Toole launched fierce attack on his main opponent Justin Trudeau urging people to ‘punish’ him for declaring ‘unwanted and unnecessary elections’.
Trudeau has been facing criticism and attacks from opposition on the election call itself, an attempt to form a majority government in the Canada in the middle of the imminent fourth wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Talking to media persons during a campaign stop in Russell, Ont., on Tuesday, O’Toole said, “A leader who has called elections in middle of health crisis is a person you cannot trust. Trudeau is attempting to stage a self-interested power grab at this unprecedented critical time.”
