Six people injured after shooting outside Ajax restaurant: Durham police
Toronto: In a shooting incident, six people shot outside a restaurant in Ajax on Monday, police said.
According to the Durham police, one person is gravely injured in the shootout and he is undergoing surgery for life-threatening injuries while other five victims are out of danger.
Police said that the incident occurred in a strip mall on Harwood Avenue at around 1:20 am.
After receiving the information, police rushed to the spot and launched the investigation.
Police have yet to identify the shooters and said that shooters had left the spot in a dark coloured, four door vehicle.
“Investigators are looking for witnesses to come forward as they investigate a shooting at 154 Harwood Ave in Ajax. 6 shooting victims identified at this time. One with life threatening injuries. Happened at rear of a restaurant at 1:20 a.m. More to follow,”Durham police said in a twitter post.
