The new package will include a $15.2 million Canadian Armed Forces Inventory, including bullet coins, fuses and charge bags for M777 Howitzer artillery guns. In addition, $15.3 million worth of drone cameras, $15 million worth of winter clothing, including 400,000 jackets, pants, boots and gloves.

Along with this, 100,000 pieces of CAF inventory will also be sent by Canadian companies.

Under a joint project by the Ministry of Defense, Canada’s Communications Security Establishment and the Department of Telesat, satellite communication services worth $2 million will also be provided through government and non-government partners.

Announcing this at a meeting with the Ukraine Defence Contact Group in Belgium, Defence Minister Anita Anand said the assistance will be different from the training and other initiatives already being given.

Canada has previously supplied $600 million worth of military equipment to Ukraine during the war, which was released in early 2022.
