Tit-For-Tat Move: 10 days quarantine for UK visitors in India
New Delhi: In a new decision, India government has made it mandatory for all British citizens arriving in India from Monday to face a 10-day quarantine irrespective of vaccination status.
The move came after the UK’s hugely controversial similar rules for residents of several countries including India.
“All people arriving in India from UK, irrespective of their vaccination status, will have to undertake three COVID-19 RT-PCR tests – within 72 hours before travel from October 4, on arrival at the airport, and on Day 8 after arrival, and mandatory quarantine at home or in the destination address for 10 days after arrival in India,” the India government proposed.
The UK is not recognising India covid vaccines despite many appeals by the India authorities in recent times.
