U. S. issues ‘Do not travel’ advisory against Canada amid rising Covid-19 cases
Washington: Amid the rising cases of Covid-19, the United States has issued advisory against Canada asking travellers to “Do not travel” to the country.
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and U.S. State Department on Monday advised its citizens to avoid travelling to its neighbouring country citing that Canada is “Level Four: Very High” due to Covid-19 cases.
The CDC, which lists about 80 destinations worldwide at Level Four, also raised the island of Curacao to Level Four.
Meanwhile, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau also held meetings with provincial and territorial leaders on Monday to discuss the mounting health crisis posed by the new Omicron variant in the country.
