Ottawa: Canada’s Opposition Leader Pierre Poilievre praised the Sikh community for their contribution to Canada’s development and promised to raise their long-pending demands.
He advocated directly connecting Canada with Amritsar by air and said they would continue to struggle till these flights start. “Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is talking about people’s problems instead of solving them,” he said.
Quoting statistics, he admitted that punjabis often have a large number of people coming to India from Canada, who do not have easy access to their homes from Delhi.
Therefore, for his convenience, it is necessary to connect Canada directly to Amritsar by air and his party will continue to make every effort for this.
He claimed that his party would win the next parliamentary elections with a huge majority.
